The reason I balk is family, I'd miss Pop.Sundays wouldn't be the same without him.
That was a factor for me as well but... My parents are thinking of heading down that way as well.. My one sister is already there and my other sister is retiring there in a few years...

As far as friends go... well I have all of you here on NJH but I know you from here... On a computer screen... I spend way too much time working, The little spare time I do get is spent with the wife and kids and if ...IF there is any other spare time I might get a 1/2 day to hunt or fish with someone...

I'm just tired of this rat-race....

I took a beating on a real estate move a couple years back and I'm just tired of trying to recoup in this money hungry state... I can't seem to get out of this hole without working 90 hours a week....

I just feel it's time for a fresh start... I'll still talk to everyone here and I'll be up a couple times a year to visit..

Bummer Jim - Don't do it. The place wouldn't be the same without ya:(

Everyone I talk to seems to be looking to get out of NJ... In the last 3 days I must of heard 100 people tell me why they want out and not one had anything to offer on why they or I should stay! lol

NJ really is a crap hole that everyone just seems to be stuck in... yet, ...it has more people per sqare mile then any other state!?!?!?!?![confused]

I'm really looking forward to trying something knew...

Who knows...maybe I'll miss this old crap hole and be back next year... Maybe I wont even leave... I think I'm going to use a time share week to go check things out in NC next week or the week after...

There is a demand for Marine techs. So the wife and I are talking about what state we want to move to.

She's thinking GA. I'm thinking Kansas!
what the hell you moving inland for if you are looking for a job to be a Marine tech?[confused]

thats like moving to wyoming to get a job as a computer programmer.[rofl]:D

We moved here from Pennsy 29 years ago, it was a work move, there was no work in Mifflin County so we came to NJ where there was lots of work. It was only temporary. Now the kids are grown, live close by with the grandkids, and my wife ain leaving. When I retire, I am going back!! She wants to stay, I will visit in the summer.

There are some people that like the state. Mexicans, puerto ricans, other minorities, terrorists and let us not forget the antis.

Now I think I know why people come to NJ.... The school systems are a train wreck everywhere else!!!!

These places are great to retire too but terrible for raising families.....[mad]FRUSTRATION setting in..[mad]

Even though there are many problems with this state i still love Nj..no where else is there the same kind of people(which can be good or bad...lol) the same attuide, the same drivers;). I think living in the south would put me to sleep, to slow of living for me.
