Use the equipment you have the most confidence with. Practice during the off season months and get to know YOUR limitations as well as your equipment( if you plan to make changes now is the time not two weeks before the season). Check ALL your gear before each hunt with extra emphasis on broad head sharpness( just because the package says its razor sharp doesn't make it so) Practice a shot regiment so you don't choke in the heat of battle. Black bears are not hard to kill but, a bad shot is still a bad shot and will make for a less then favorable day for everyone.
