I can't get through to my insurance company for questions, only to file a claim. Does anyone know if I have downed trees in yard if they will be covered? I know the ones that cause damage to house are covered but not sure about the ones that are just down. I have a big pine in my front yard that broke off about 15' up so now i have half laying in front of the yard and a 15' stump.

my father in law has a 110 ft tree in front yard and he called and got through to ins co... no damage then no claim unless you have a handicap ramp which needs access.... my father in law happens to have one from when grandparents where still with us so he is hoping that may due the trick (he did not tell them they are no longer with us)

My state farm agent is one of my best friends and hunting buddys,, he said "If the tree is on the house they will cover damage to house and add $500 max for tree removal from yard, also if a tree falls across diveway or access point to property they will cover up to $500 to remove tree".
I have them leaning and laying all over my yard and its gonna cost me about $3000 for the work to get done and homeowners ins- won't do a thing. It sucks but on a good note my family and house are ok.
