If they didn't cause any damage, I doubt they will be covered to have them removed. I could be wrong though.

 

my friends house got hit with trees. he has state farm, but i am sure they are all the same. They said they will cover all of the damage to the house, but the tree removal is on the homeowner.

 

my father in law has a 110 ft tree in front yard and he called and got through to ins co... no damage then no claim unless you have a handicap ramp which needs access.... my father in law happens to have one from when grandparents where still with us so he is hoping that may due the trick (he did not tell them they are no longer with us)

 

unless you had a crap load of trees down im sure the cost to fell them will be less than your deductible. Just pony up and get it over with.

 

My state farm agent is one of my best friends and hunting buddys,, he said "If the tree is on the house they will cover damage to house and add $500 max for tree removal from yard, also if a tree falls across diveway or access point to property they will cover up to $500 to remove tree".
I have them leaning and laying all over my yard and its gonna cost me about $3000 for the work to get done and homeowners ins- won't do a thing. It sucks but on a good note my family and house are ok.

 

madcow is spot on. Most HO policies cover up to $500 per occurance. Typically there is no deductible on tree removal.I'm a lisc adjuster and it really all depends on your specific policy. But most cover what has been stated

We spent 3 days cutting trees between my 3 neighbors houses and mine. We all lucked out with no home damage. Still have 2 in the back yard but they can wait.

I have about 50 or so down and 3 hit the house. It's going to cost me and arm and leg to clean my property up.

I got the ones down that aren't on the powerlines. I guess pse&g will take the ones that are resting on the wires.

 

I did not lose any trees in this storm, but two fell durring Irene and my insuranec paid for removal, niether tree hit house thankfully just laying across backyard. Just might pay to check.
