Man, it takes alot of prep and expertise to jump a deer and have the ability to shoot it from 100 plus yards

Pole smoker, oh I mean Pineboy...

I remember Pole smoker, oh i mean pineboy writing his-

message to the nj deer drivers

"someone in my club just showed me your post and i want to let you knw that before you and your freinds decide to start driving at places you had better ask other clubs when they will be driving. you can ask me and i will tell you where are club will be because we have been doing drives for years and we dont need anyone showing up on the same days and screwing up our drives making things dangerous so someone gets hurt or killed."

Yeah, exactly. [eyeroll]

Really? So clubs drive on SIX DAY. Its 6 days! Deer season is 5 months. I haven't really bothered with 6 day in years. Maybe one day during I go out, mostly to see whats going on in the area. Why should we chastise another hunter for hunting in a legal manner? Why would any hunter want More laws? Or take away someone else's legal and traditional method of hunting? Yeah, I know, we all have to bitch, I do it too. Have your venting then pull up your big girl panties and get over it

Actually you would be wrong on that count. There is a bill going to be introduced forgot the number but it has legs.

Driving deer is not hunting it is pushing an animal. You're not an effing indian who lives off the land. In my opinion drivers are retards who would never see a deer otherwise.

Gun hunt all you want but driving has no place in the world today. Its like tits on a nun... useless

And away we go!!

Hey if anyone wants to vacation at a place where we drive the woods, have a chef cook, have trucks drive us around all day, and a bunk, send a pm..

Guests like 35 to 40 a day orange hat and vest required.

NO SLUGS BUCK SHOT ONLY!!! YO Buck!!! hahaha [rofl]

60 man drives just ain't my thang, just pushing that buck till they go bang. For me a single man push, will get that buck out of the bush.

Every drive club I know only allows buck shot, the pines you ain't gonna see a deer at 100 yards let alone get a shot at one on a dead run. I belong to a drive club, I drive one day and sit the rest.

Me and 90% of the guys in my club bow hunt 24-7 we put around 40-50 days in the tree before 6 day even arrives. It's a nice change of pace to spend these days with close friends an family and do some drive. Most of the guys who cry are 1 week hunters and if you don't like it go buy your own land. We have been hunting the pines mostly zone 21 for 50 + years and know the woods like the back of are hand. When we bow hunt we are also scouting and every Sunday walking pieces and running cams all lead to this week. The time and preparation is there.

Only thing that annoys me about drives is it shows your a marksman. But don't pose over that good buck with the same satisfaction of a bow hunter who actually patterned and hunted a buck over the course of a season.

correct me if I'm wrong, but most states other than New England allow drives, some limit the number of people allowed to participate.

You know there are so many people on here that talk smack about the drivers. First let me open by saying that I myself do not drive. perhaps an occaisional 1-2 man silent push maybe but for the most part.....its just not my thing. But heres where it gets interesting,,,,,,,,you people want to talk about their practices,,,WHO CARES!?!?!? these guys buy their liscenses just like you and I. And except for a few really jerkfaced idiots, (who still I believe hold record for longest thread) go about their business , renewing their traditions, their way. LEGALLY. I get my chops busted by PA friends about the little bit of bait I put out, and we laugh about it. Even though we live in the horrible state of New Jersikstan, where we are ALL ridiculed for our traditions and hobbies as outdoor enthusiests, we are part of a bigger picture , and that is that we live in America. and the drivers are free to drive, and the sitters are free to sit. if your on public land and drivers come through? oh well, your on public land and you need to sit tight until they come through in a safe manner, and decide if you want to stay or relocate. if your driving and you see a sitter in a stand? oh well, that patch of woods, although your family has been hunting it for generations, is NOT yours, and you hold no claim on it whatsoever, moral, legal , or otherwise. That person might be having their first sit in a tree for the first time, excited as hell for opening day. Not having any idea that you feel these woods belong to you and your gang....I mean club. and your going to go and show him what kind of assholes NJ hunters can be? come on Lets be totally honest here about this land you hunt. BOTH of you stole that shit from the Indians, but you don't see them waiting on the side of the road for you to get into worthless verbal and physical altercations do you?.....we owe it to ourselves to conduct our business in a much better way than that don't we? How about we get our heads out of our arses boys and recognize that infighting is just what those scumbags in Trenton want. we are all hunters, duck hunters, bow hunters, gun hunters, and yes even those sometimes pesky small gamers. they do it their way, you do it your way , and I do it my way. how bout we all wish each other a prosperous and more importantly SAFE remainder of this glorious and EXPENSIVE NJ tradition we uphold every year? GOOD LUCK< SHOOT STRAIGHT> BE SAFE> HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I'm a transplant to South Jersey and I have come to accept the long standing traditions of drive clubs. I done but for those who do I understand, it is more about the fun of being with friends and enjoying themselves back at the club after along day in the woods. To many of these guys it is a long standing tradition with some clubs having several generations of the same family as members. So go ahead you purists cast you sticks and stones, but remember this they are probably having more fun than you are.
