Thunderheads work for me

My excalibur shoots 150gr broadheads i picked up a 6 pack of the excalubur 150gr broadheads never used them but how bad can they be they are made for the bow. Will be going upstate in a couple of weeks and will try them out i dont know any place in monmouth county that lets you shoot the x-bow.

I have shot grim reaper . The Reign,& Trophy Ridge Hammerhead, all did well. I now use the Dead Ringer Trauma xbow broadhead & it's unbelievable. Shot a big doe , turkey & black bear with the same head. Most important is shot placement , find one you like that flys good & good luck....I recommend the Trauma from Dead Ringer.

I shoot the same heads and Xbow. Shoots excellent.

i used excalibur 150 grain boltcutters but had some issues with them last year...switched to 125 grain slick trick magnums and killed a buck first time out with them...it looked like someone poured a bucket of blood all over the place

I shoot a Parker tornado and I use Red Hot bolts with Muzzy 100s or the Muzzy Crosskills 125s. With the Muzzy 100s at 60 yards I have a three inch group and at 80 yards the same. The Crosskills fly equally well and what I do is use an o-ring and line the vanes up with the blades. As far as blood trails and penetration the blood I've had looked like the leaves were painted and at 40 yards 1/4 away I drove right threw the opposite shoulder. BAD TO THE BONE BABY I will never use any other broadheads than MUZZYS I have taken bear with them. One was a shot threw the chest with my Phoenix 34 and the Muzzy was buried in the spine I had to dig it out with a knife and a saws-all.

what knock? flat or half moon...most times its not the broad head, but if you have half moon knocks try flat knocks that may cure it...it did for me and I can shoot ANY broadhead out of my ten point phantom cls...fixed or mechanical shoot close to the same at 100 grains.

Heavy (150 grain) Slick Tricks.

I shoot a heavy bolt and a real heavy head, to get a good front of center (thanks Matty), and they fly like darts.

I've found 125 gr heads and up always seems to fly better than the 100s. Razor tricks i particularly like. Also the g5. I've not really tied the expandable as I like fixed heads but many people on here use expandable as well.

The razor tricks are not a wide channel but crush bone, blow through every deer shot out to 45 yards, and have always shot like my field tips.

Good luck - allot of good info on here. I may take a look at Exodus heads also as they seem to be similar to the razor tricks.
