Would I carry? Short answer : yes

Long answer:
I would not carry if it was illigal to protect myself with it... what good is a gun on your hip, when your life is ruined, if the time comes and you need to use it to protect yourself from harm.
I don't want to be allowed to carry but have to live in jail forever for using it. At that point I might as well have nothing on my hip and run my fat ass away from danger like the little coward b▪▪ch nj wants me to be.

I would not carry every day, every where.
I would like to be able to take it with me and have it in my vehicle while I'm out.. not strapped to my hip.

I would like to carry in the woods while hunting where bears are, yes.

I would really like to shoot someone who breaks into my home without having to flee the scene first...but that's a whole different issue.

I would carry at night when i go on trips for work but with family functions or kids sporting events or a visit to my friends id leave it home.i guess there's a time and place for it.i see the biggest problem though like I mentioned before is the language in the laws in jersey are just hideous.we don't have southern justice laws like down south something like this could always come back and bite you in the arse.theres so many opinionated people you could get yourself in trouble without even doing anything just because of someone's outlook or whatever in public

I would like to have the option to carry and would in the bear woods at times, although I live and work in nice areas and likely wouldn't bother 99% of the time. But that is irrelevant as we should have the right to do so if we want and are legal gun owners.

I would like to have the option depending on where I'm gonna be for the day but probably wouldn't carry it much. The liability is probably the heaviest weighing factor, but if it saves your life it's worth the risk.

I would have absolutely no problem with a right to carry law. Of course, you can't let just anyone carry (felons, mentally deficient, ect..) but a regular law abiding citizen should 100% have the right to carry. I carry just about everywhere I go, but not everyone wants to carry. It's a personal choice for those that are allowed to carry. Some of the other officers I work with almost never carry off duty, I think that's stupid, but it's their choice. There's plenty of people in carry states that go their entire lives without carrying, however all law abiding citizens should at least have the right to make that choice IMO.

As is mentioned over and over here .... it should be our choice.

Many years ago I carried while I was doing my work alone in Philadelphia's crappiest neighborhoods. (Though the mayor was fighting against it)

But, my place in rural Huntington County Pa ..... never. No one does.

I don't understand why more of the good folks in our urban areas ... .and the suburban areas near them ... don't demand their right from the legislators. How liberal can you be?

This is going to anger some.........I can and seldom do. Carrying a gun full time requires a great amount of responsibility. Pay me to and I will. Furthermore, in NJ if you make the decision to kill someone (legally); you still probably will be sued for doing so. I know the old saying, "Rather be judged by 12 than carried by six." I carry in places such as NYC, Newark, etc. Otherwise, I prefer not to carry. Maybe a poor decision. So far, so good..........
What you're saying you think makes sense. Carrying carries, I guess unwanted, responsibility? Hmmm let me see what about responsibility to your family, responsibility to protect them, or to live to work n feed them?
Why would you carry in NYC or Newark? Maybe you feel something could happen? Perhaps they could all allow us that? Only carry in "bad" areas which to me is any area someone tries to severely harm us.
I understand what you're trying to say though, I teach many to shoot different weapons and some things I see on a range worry me.
That being said a lot more people seem killed by texting/driving teens than in an accidental ccw case.

Remember everyone, there a poll/questionnaire link in the original post. If everyone could fill it out that would be great, even if you're not for it. Trying to get a gauge on where the residents are at and feel about it.

Absolutely yes. I read how a few guys were stating that irresponsibility of others makes them think it wouldn't be a good idea, but if they have to take a course, as well as qualify just like LEO's or former LEO's, that would help. I would think it would root out the irresponsible people. I believe a few states do it that way.
