Loshboughs in Tennessee is a decent hunt. Few hunts will find are 100% true wild boar so don't let that hinder you if you are looking for a good hunt. Regardless of where hogs are living in the wild they still avoid predators just the same.

Yes, it's high-fence hunting, but the hunting areas are large...

"The preserve has three hunting areas: 1100+ acers, 400+ acers, and 900+ acers.
The areas are mountainous with some valleys and fields.
Coming in 2011 will be a new 1000+ acers especially for wild boar, rams, and buffalo."

it is not a "barnyard shoot", the terrain is challenging & you do have to hunt to tag out.

Fenced is fenced! Just a bigger "barnyard".

 

If have the cash... the best time you can have in my opinion anyway is to head to South Texas you'll do more shooting and see more animals and have mnore fun than you could anywhere else. There are a lot of ranches down there to work with... enjoy and bring lots of arrows.

 

If you are willing to go to Texas as mentioned above I have a guy you might want to visit and you will have a blast.

Just got done butchering a pig that was taken at Tioga.Big pig but not much meat yield.TONS of fat.Dont know how much he paid for it but didnt seem worth it to me.He didnt even want the cape,head etc.

 

I DID IT A FEW YEARS BACK WHEN I WAS TEACHING ON THE "BIG ISLAND" OF HAWAII. THE PIGS WE GOT WERE PLACED IN THE GROUND WITH HOT LAVA ROCKS AND THE NEXT DAY WE'D HAVE OUR LUAU. ALSO, USED TO HUNT BIG HORN SHEEP ON THE SLOPES OF MAOUNA LOA ON THE "BIG ISLAND."

 

My cousin took his son this weekend to DoubleBoar out near Pittsburgh, Pa. He said they had a blast. Was a bit more challenging than expected. Good quality time with his son.

I hunted on the Lightsey cattle co. ranch on a large island (over 7k acers!) in the middle of Lake Kissimmie FA in 05. Had a great time, but sadly they don't offer hunts anymore.

No fence boar hunts, go to South Carolina, Deerfield Plantation. $1200 for 3 days, 2 boar per day, food lodging included. Call Hugh Walters. Another place Bostick Plantation in Estill SC $600 for 3 days, NO food. You get the hunt and someplace to sleep

 

$600 for 3 days seems very fair. How many boars does that get you??

I got a email from them the other day, 2 boar per day. They have me on their mail list, so you get the specials. This place is way back along the Savanah river getting to a resturant is a drive. You have to consider driving to the food after a day on stand or chasing hounds. Look at the wedsite for both, Deerfield is a better deal.

my name is jeremy and im a former guide at bostick. I was fired for telling the truth which is joe doesnt believe in repeat business he says theres a sucker born every day. believe me ive seen it..
