Polymer tipped rifle bullets are generally considered hollowpoints.
For the purpose of NJ hunting, I believe the intention to be FMJ or solids to not be allowed.

Forget about the guns and ammo haven't seen one post on where or how anyone is going about the hunt curious to see how many guys have scouted or just plan on going out and winging it not having a clue but looking like pattons best storming across Europe

Think thaats my problem with it Chris..it doesnt seem to be about the animal or the hunt...its an opportunity for gun guys just to go out with their favorite toy they always wanted to use...wouldnt matter if it was chupacabbra season as long as they could use that type of firearm.
