A little more info,
this is on a permit only park, that allows 5 guys to hunt per season on 172 acres. Allowing 2 stands per permit ONLY, but you can also have an alternate hunter that can utilize the property, but only one person can be there at a time, still 2 stand max, so each of you has 1 stand.
Lindsey waited to Purchase this permit and Jb is her alternate hunter.
Imagine scouting different parks for months, sitting in line for 20+ hours to get a permit.
Hanging your stand at a chosen spot, making sure your clothes and body are scent free, the wind is perfect and upon getting to your stand you see this.
Someone put their stand 7 feet from yours
keeps his bait bags on his stand
leaves his safty harness blowing in the wind
ties his scent drag to his stand
tell me you wouldnt think he was an idiot, and just blew up a spot that HAD been worth hunting.
AND UPON CHECKING THERE IS NO REQUIRED PERMIT NUMBER ON THE STAND.
good thing he didnt find the better of the 2 stands
more than likely the second stand was a mile further than he was willing to walk.
as far as hunting it at different times, that statement is being made by guys who have NO CLUE about how often a stand should be hunted out of , or the conditions to make it a good spot to harvest a QUALITY animal.
With limited hunting time because of her school Lindsey has made every effort to hunt only when conditions warrent hunting the deer she is after.
She has passed many bucks, 2 of which most guys would shoot in a heart beat, hunting a super NJ whitetail, now is dealing with someone that is def an IDIOT
