Using the video feature of my moultrie M80 I came up with these interesting shots during the seek phase of the rut.

You should cut the hole wider. There is an old 6' chain link fence in the woods behind my house; it had a hole that deer were using already so I made it much larger. I never put a camera on that particular hole, but, they were using it like crazy.

and is it just me or did that 6 point seem to be getting frustrated while trying to get through the hole ? Haha

Sure looks like it. He knows he got through it going it the other way. That is a hot trail and he don't want to lose it, lol. Every deer has a reaction to the scent left there. In the beginning the does are reacting to the presence of the buck on the other side.

How does the video mode do on burning through batteries?

I had Duracell alkalines in the camera that were at 50% when I hung it the first time. When I pulled the card after a week or so it showed 45%. I went back and pulled it again the day after. I used a card with something else on it that I needed. The camera was dead. I don't know what happened. Duracells suck to start, but for them to just quit like that made me wonder if it wasn't the camera. I have since replaced the batteries with Energizer lithiums. I have yet to put it back out.

No, I have not. I was thinking about getting some new ones to try. I know they only last so long in my regular cameras while the lithiums seem to last forever. The more you recharge the rechargables the less they perform IMO.
