Sorry dont want to slight anyone but I wouldnt take a deer head to anyone other then Greg Ribb yes there is a wait involved but his work is incredable When you go there you see he has hundreds of heads there to be done so thats why the wait but he has all those heads there for a reason HE IS THAT GOOD his art work is second to none

I agree that Greg Rib is tops in quality. However, he does not do birds anymore and I should have specified that I want to get some pheasant/grouse done this year.

If you want to stay local I would say go to Ribs he does some pretty good work. If your not real picky. I have seen some of his work that was flawless, then I have seen some where the eyes were off, ear butts look bad, wiskers........


Don't limit yourself to just this area. Surf the internet from other states, or a great idea is to go to the Harrisburg show and look at the mounts there and see what you like. Then send it to them.

This is something you will want forever and to be as lifelike as possible. You dont want to blow a knot of cash on something you might be just "happy" with. Also, other states dont have the price range we do here. Seems like some guys want to live an executives life on mounting deer.

i took 2 deer to steve hildabrand.
great work. he passed away a few years ago. i hear the boy is doing work still. can't say what the quality is like. i'll have to stop in and see. for all i know, jr could of done my deer.
