"If it be admitted that a man possessing absolute power may misuse that power by wronging his adversaries, why should not a majority be liable to the same reproach? Men do not change their characters by uniting with one another; nor does their patience in the presence of obstacles increase with their strength. For my own part, I cannot believe it; the power to do everything, which I should refuse to one of my equals, I will never grant to any number of them."

quick inquisitive update:

has anything come of this yet? has a bill been proposed, a petition been submitted?

Bill passed Senate committee I believe, and now heads to Senate floor for full vote if I'm not mistaken.

I think Sunday hunting should be our right. Think of the men and women that work, what days do they get out to hunt? Co already work Sunday due to fishing. Almost every if not every state except N.J. allow Sunday hunting. As for the hikers they need to be aware that they should steer clear of areas being hunted, possible bowhunting going on. Oh I FORGOT it's okay to screw a hunter because you don't hunt. You can't restrict it to private land either hunting is the right for everyone.

Alexis de Tocqueville must have also been on the wrong side of the Sunday hunt issue...

I like the not hunting state land on sundays. Private do what you want on it but state i like to use that day to scout more adjust stands, help friends get set up all without worrying that I'm messing up hunter in the woods.
