I just started using the Omega this year and I absolutely love it.

 

I got one of the first encores years ago. I will probably never buy another ML. It snaps up on center everytime. Feel like an extention of my arm. I am more comfortable with my encore with one shot than my SG with 3. Farthest shot was 117 yards. 2 inches high at 50....hold on to 130

 

you can still use the bdc feature with 100 gr you just need to spend time on the range and see where your impacts are for the circles

exactly, just like the new monarch with bdc, you have to spend the time on the range to get the most out of it. I love my 45 caliber encore. 175 grain red hots from knight. I get better velocity than a 30-30 and dam near a 308 winchester.

 

Whatever you get go with the leupold scope 3-9X40. Much better scope for the money. And they even make the VX1 with the long range reticle for about 219.00
