They aren't. I know lots of guys who use them in other states. Just illegal in NJ. In the UK you can buy them over the counter and they actually want you to use them.

I stayed at kavik river camp with Sue for a week to hunt caribou and she is actually way more down to earth than the show portrays her.

specifically the hailstones and sue. They suck at shooting. SUCK ... Miss easy shots.... Use open sites.... shooting off hand when they dont have to ... If you have a choice you should never shoot off hand at non moving game at a distance .. but they do it all the time

I have one. It is a good rifle and has the best trigger I have ever used on a military rifle and it does shoot.

Not denying the effectiveness of their weapon choices. Just how they deploy them. Aside from that,shooting at running caribou or stationary for that matter at distances 200 yards and further is no easy shot with a peep or irons. They should not be taking them. They aren't from the bloodline of Carlos Hathcock that's for sure. Lol
