Have done some hunting in there.
It really has the worst briars out of anywhere I've ever hunted.
But it does hold deer, last year we jumped a very nice 8pt.
My sisters landlord just bought acouple of acres that borders it and built a house on it. he has some cam tracker pics of a few good bucks and lots of turkeys...I couldnt tell you where he is exactly though.
it sucks i spent alot of time there during the last couple years there are alot of people and the 4 wheelers are every where, last year they made a maze through the one farmers corn so we tried to catch them corn got stuck under my buddies truck and it caught on fire we looked like as*holes out in the field putting out the fire 15 hundred dollars later we gave up on chasing them now we have there trucks towed when we can
If there are not that many deer in there, why do the farmers continue to get the permits? The farm permits have to have stricter regulations put on them.
Let me clarify...I know of farmer's who blast deer and just let em lay there. Nobody bothers them about it, cause it's their own land and they aren't transporting the deer anyway. Who's gonna catch em?
Maybe it's me, but it sounds like this would be a good opportunity to ask the farmers for permission to hunt their land and do the work for them. What do you think?
Just a question, would you happen to know the area(s) where all of these farmers are? I know there's a farm right before the intersection of Deans Rhode Hall Rd and the Turnpike.
Sorry my statement was speaking in general. I don't know anything about that particular area other than the thick briars sound like good big buck bedding areas.
