I'm a native NJ'er and I welcome the hogs, but also feel bad for some that will be hurt by them too... Farmers will get a permit to kill any hog on there property, Hunters will get some great bacon, NJ ARA's will get my thanks for letting the Hogs free.. Everyone will be happy....:p

Moose & Elk set free around here
That's a wet dream if I ever saw one [up] [up]

At the rate the hogs are moving across our nation they'll get here no matter what we say of what the F&WL Say or Do.

They have been moving north for years and gaining ground faster every year. so no matter what, they will be in N.J. soon. And nothing will change that.

I must have missed this when it was discussed before. I live in GLOUCESTER county and have hunted across the street from where the hog farm once was. I dont know much about it i heard as much as Ghostbear orginally posted. The guy whose property i was hunting at the time told us that the remaining hogs were surviving in the woods and started taking on feral features. I never saw any but would have been neat.

What do you mean by that....politicians
YEAHHHH.
The Other Other White Meat [hihi]

No way will they get in the game code. They are feral hogs. Other states have very active programs to eliminate the feral hogs altogether.

USDA Wildlife Services, is the agency that handles this in other states. NJF&W has the lead in NJ because they see an opportunity to add them to the game code. F&W is way out of line on this one, they should be doing all they can to eliminate the herd.
