Id like to post a pic , but its been a hell of a start for me. Lost a coyote the first day and its been hell since.
Had a coyote roll on a set (had body hair in trap). Got 2 inches of snow the other night that showed me why I have had 5 sprung traps in the last week, The deer and jackrabbits have been holding barn dances on all my sets above the house, tracks all over the sets. Caught 1 jackrabbit the other night but a coyote took it and left me a lucky rabbits foot in the trap LOL. Checked this morning and a coyote returned the rabbit on a set in the form of a pile of crap.
I had a family of reds living on my property all summer till the coyotes moved in about a month ago and pushed them out. Friday morning its time to switch gears on some smart ass yots.:boxing3:

Finally got one!!!

Caught this young female (about 40 lbs ) today. The lights in the pic are the back lights of our house.

Heres the best part she is the one I had and lost on the first day, she is missing her dew claw from the other foot from where she pulled out and it was the same damn set that she escaped from on that first day.

Set 8 snares yesterday, couldn't sleep all night waiting to check my line, lol. 430 in the rain I fired up the quad and woke the neighbors up. Took 3 ***** all med size , I made a pipe crossing last years on a deep creek line and set it for the fist time ,that was my first check and my first on this crossing,I then came home and threw on my waders and hit a swamp, found a lot of very fresh sign ,on one fallen tree I seen hair and feathers, I went out about waist deep in the muck and turned out a **** was eating a rabbit and a duck, log was loaded with fresh crap,.hope he is there waiting for me in the am.i made some crawfish slop over the summer and it paid off well on the first day, mixed it to a water proof base for rain days just like this morning

Up at 430 had 8 snares set and a box trap. When my quad lights hit the dirt road I knew I was in trouble, had fresh truck tracks and I had a box trap that was just off the trail well, only thing my trap got was a coffee cup, they smashed my trap and threw there trash in it,it was hidden well but not that well I guess,I marked all my snares with ribbon and they took all of it down but couldn't find the snares,I had all my sets in my new go trap app on my phone so it got used for the first time and worked well.my snares produced 2 **** and a grinner that I got at a fence hole set.pulled my snares and gonna move deeper into a swamp till it get cold enough to keep people in there houses.day 2 and got 5 **** so far, with the weekend over I am going to set heavy later before dark
