Robin, Congrats getting your doe. Good luck with your shoulder. [up]

CONGASSS! Great determination! After 18 sits I would be really doubting myself. Heck I was really doubting myself and I've been putting in long days on the weekends since opening.

What baffles me is that the youth bow is set at 38 and the Matthews at 35. They break at just about the same place. I know that the Matthews is a faster bow and building up more energy when drawing it back, but I think my problem is that the bow itself physically weighs more and it's my stabalizer arm I am having problems with, so holding the weight of the bow is also hindering me from pulling the weight back. Does that make sense?

draw weight has little to do with the issue your posting about. how agressive a cam is what makes a bow harder to draw and break over more so than the weight. the mathews has a more aggressive cam , hense the extra speed, but also the harder draw.

what really helps is if you push your bow arm forward at the same time as you draw with your string arm, instead of using just one arm the fulcrum created by the two more than doubles the strength
