Nightstalker, nice job on the euro mounts, we always called them texas mounts with the entire skull and euro with the face cut off the skull leaving just the skull plate. I like the way you did it better than having deer mounted in most cases, unless deer is really big....
Next thing you know the kangaroo court will be asking for pictures of the tags....

I remember seeing the first of these pics also, but I enjoy seeing them and seeing the finish product. I don't really care when they were shot. I don't believe they were shot by any wrong doing. You're absolutely right. If he had never said this the way he did, this thread would have been about the cool euro mounts, but he had to throw in a jab using a lie. Its ashame.

I am a little slow I couldn't figure out what NS wrote that got everyone in a fury.. I think he is funny and stirring the crossbow filled pot alittle. Matty, you do the same thing the other way. I love the ball busting on this site. The pot stirring keeps me coming back. I would not call it a lie, alot of guys on here have referred to gun hunters as slobs of the 6 day and stuff like that.

I know exactly what he's doing...Im not as dumb as you look.

Lets not use mis-truths (I was told not to call it a LIE) to aide in our "pot-stirring" though.

I never said that no one said what you said, (that sentence may cause some confusion)...Im saying that those deer were not killed by bowhunters AFTER 6 day. Not if the original picture was posted on November 11th.

Now Im sure it was one of the following reasons though:

They sat frozen in the chest freezer for a year before being boiled.

December 6th comes sooner down in South Jersey, some people refer to it as November.

Age induced forgetfullness. My grandfather 89 years old, happens to have this. It works great when you owe him money.

Continue on with the worship...

No doubt they are some nice racks, but the mis-truth to make a point is what ruined it for me.

First of all, thanks to all my LOYAL DECIPLES !.
Now to straighten this out. The 2 heads being boiled were from PRIOR to 6 Day this year. The one on the ground being from Pa. (by a friend). The two on the table on the right, if you noticed, are not as white as the other two. This comes from sitting in a freezer for long periods of time(they get a yellowish tint). In this case 2 years. They were brought to me to be Euro mounted. I boiled and Euro mounted 15 heads for friends this year. Way too much work for what they payed me.
I'm sorry if I was off by "one". In that only two of the heads WERE taken after 6 day, BUT 2 years ago.
I simply tried to show a before and after of the process. Maybe the little jab about the "rampage" was uncalled for, but most people know my sense of humor and know how to take the things I say with a "grain of salt".
It is a shame though that when someone makes a comment in someone's defense that they immediatly get a "LABEL".

But I'll lower myself to your level to answer it.
First I took it with a Mathews bow(Sorry if that's not traditional enough).
Secondly, When you are surrounded by Farmers with Deer Control permits and this Deer is lucky enough to survive this long. WOULD YOU WAIT ANY LONGER ?
I watched him for 3 years, he's teeth aged him around five, and this is the second year with the same size headgear. Wait longer ? I don't think so

I guess everyone has gotten a little too serious around here.
