I hunt zone 9 Mendam and 6 rockaway. Let's say opening day morning I kill a doe tag and check it.
Then in the afternoon I shoot another doe and bank her for zone 9. Come Oct 1 when the state opens I could still kill a buck in rockaway or Mendham.

Your allowed 1 buck during fall bow regardless how many doe you shoot in other zones. Your only banking a doe for that zone during your permit season. You could still buy a permit for zone 6 and kill a buck there. But once you shoot 1 buck during per,it your done.

YES I CAN...I'm sorry but your not getting it. Every bow licence comes with 3 buck stubs. Fall bow, Permit bow, And winter boe.. Bank a doe is only for zones that require Eab's. If I am hunting Mendham opening morning early season and I shoot a doe I tag it, Now I can shoot a buck.. If I shoot another doe all I am doing is Banking her FOR THE PERMIT BOW SEASON. i AM STILL ENTITLED TO A BUCK FOR THE FALL BOW WEATHER IT BE ZONE 6 ROCKAWAY OR 9 MENDHAM. Then come permit bow in MENDHAM I DONT NEED TO SHOOT A DOE BECAUSE I BANKED ONE IN SEPTEMBER. So I could only shoot a buck there with the BAD tag unless a buy another permit for zone 6 then I could shoot a buck there . GET IT... We are entitled to two bucks one during fall and one during permit..

No you have to go by the rules in the zones. Zone 6 your allowed 1 doe and 1 buck. So if I shoot a doe in zone 9 I cannot shoot one in zone 6. But I can shoot a buck. If I shoot a doe in zone 9 and then I bank a doe I am only banking a doe so opening day of permit bow I dont need to shoot one in order to kill a buck.. No matter what you can shoot 2 does in early bow and come the state opener you can shoot 1 buck anywhere in NJ

Your telling me I buy a fall bow license and shoot a buck then I buy a permit for the extended archery season and I can't shoot a buck with it.... SINCE WHEN?????
Been like that for years.
The only reason BAD is around is because come Nov for permit bow the doe's get scarce and harder to hunt. This way you take out 2 does early and you go for your bucks come rutting time. I don't understand why nobody is getting this..

all you have is a 3rd deer transportation tag...
That tag is just for a buck in a EAB zone.
After you shoot your second deer... the check station gives you a 3rd deer transportation tag that is not valid in some zones (ie, 6 and 4).
Because that is your buck tag for only the permit zone you took your EAB.

you would still need to buy a permit for zone 6 for the extended season

luknikk... you are correct for EAB/BAD zones... but NOT zone 6 or 4.
Ok I am gonna go over this senerio one more time.
Right now my bow license is valid for only fall bow.
So weather I hunt early bow or I start hunting when the season opens state wide That is what I bought this licence for.
SO if I hunt In Mendham early bow and I get a doe I am tagging her and getting a second deer tag. I can now kill a buck in this zone only until the state opens in Oct. Then I can kill a buck either in Zone 9 or zone 6. Lets say I kill a buck after I get my doe earle season, I could still BAD for my EAB zone come permit bow season. every zone says you are entitled to 1 BUCK DURING FALL AND 1 DURING PERMIT. tHE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS SOME ZONES ARE qdm AND SOME eab..

Luk,

Sorry, your wrong. In zone 6 you are allowed 2 deer any sex during fall bow. Doesn't matter where you took those 2 deer, could be 2 in zone 8, your tags are not valid in zone 6. Period. Stupid, but that's how the law is written.

However, in extended bow the game starts again. 2 deer, no more.
I don'r think so. Here's the 2006-07 rules. Zone 9 is unlimeted does. therefore if I do not soot a buck in zone 9 come state opener I can shoot a buck there. Because my BAD is ONLY FOR ZONE 9

just had to wait till bloodtrail got here for the right answer
then I guess you'll be waiting for a while.LOL:D

Why would the state penalize me for shooting unlimited does in one zone and say I can't shoot a buck in another zone.
That's why you have buck stubs. I buck for each of the 3 seasons fall permit and winter bow.

• Note: Supplemental Deer Transportation Tags marked “valid for the taking of a 3rd or more deer” are not
valid in any zone within Regulation Sets # 1, 2 or 3.
That's only because those zones only allow 2 deer. your second doe only counts towards your permit deer tag. So when I bank a doe it will say only valid in zone 9. I still am entitled to a buck that I can take anywhere in the state. I just cant tag a deer in zone 1-2-3 with that 3rd deer tag.

Fall Bow (24 days): Sept. 30 - Oct. 27, 2006. Season bag limit is two deer, only ONE may be antlered.

That's the way I read it...2 deer total. That's it.
Thats only in that zone. 1-2-3 when you BAD your banking it for the zone you wish to permit bow hunt in that requires a EAB.

Sorry I am Being so addament about this. I know two things.. Plumbing and Hunting. I will call Fand W tomarrow and get this straight. If I am wrong shame on me. But why would the state punish me because i took 2 does for them.
