Thinking about heading out for a few hours this evening to go catfishing. Anyone have some areas of the Delaware that generally produce a decent amount of action that they would share? I live in Blairstown, so most likely will fish along Old Mine Road, etc.

If looking for channel cats it really doesn't matter, shallow deep fast water slow water, the cats go everywhere at night. I will say a lot of channels have been feeding on the surface eating insects and scum right before dark so fishing for them will be slower then earlier in the season, chicken liver for numbers of smaller cats, cut bait for larger fish, live bait for a chance at a flathead

Just after the Walpack Bend is swirling water from river currents. Walpack is believed to be a mispronunciation of I believe Whel Peck which is whirlpool in I think Dutch. Supposedly holds stripers too during their spawn.

Find a spot where there is fast water into a deep part of the river.the big boys like to hang in those spots at night.Throw enough weight that you get s few bumps off the bottom from the current and when you think you are snagged on a rock you are good.Chiken livers are the ticket and if you can't keep them on the hook bring some panty hose and make spawn sacks with the chicken livers.
