Never EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER consent to the police searching ANYTHING of yours without a court order. I don't care what the circumstance is, even (and especially) if you think there is nothing illegal... the police ARE FISHING. They are trying to find dirt on you so they can lock you up. Be nice and just tell them "no, go talk to a judge and explain your reason for the search to them".

I think his wife posted the pic on FB and one of her "friends" dropped the dime.
Someone on another board recommended he waterboard each of the wife's friends to find out who it was. I'm not generally in favor of waterboarding, but I would make an exception in this case.

This just reinforces my determination never to post anything remotely personal on FB.

I agree. I carefully monitor my daughter's FB account. Just asking for trouble.

True, could have safety checked the gun before takin the photo. Potentially pointed in a safe direction, finger off trigger, obviously not screwing around. Just takin a photo with his 15/22. I would post a photo like that without fear of a swat team showing up at my house.
