Set up on an open oak ridge before first light with the climber. Had lots of eyes looking at me as I was setting up. At 0730 saw this buck about 200 yards away. Rattled and grunted and he slowly worked his way towards me. He came to 20 yards and was almost downwind, when I took the shot. Hit him back a little, but he only went 150 yards. I saw a lot of new rubs around today as I was getting him out and his rack was full of tree bark. Now for some coffee, eggs and then some deer butchering! Will try to get my kids some action this evening. They wanted to sleep in this morning. Maybe a little lesson in why you should get your a....s out of bed![lol] Good luck to all.

Nice buck I am going to say we have started the early prerut stage by the chasing I saw yesterday and the number of 1.5 year old bucks getting hit time to stop shooting the doe and small bucks time to wait on the big boys
