i wouldnt think reporting the dog to the police is a good idea...just yet..they will be wanting to go and pick up the dog and it will be put in a kill shelter. no point in doing that when you are still searching for the owner...and there are people on here that will take him/her

Its crap like this that makes my skin crawl. I have seen or heard about 6-7 lost dogs now.

My dog runs with her beeper collar with a tag and her regular collar with a tag and now the last few weeks with a GPS collar, I also get worried when you have a big running dog that someone might try and grab her up thinking she is alone..

Thanks for taking care of the Pointer, I'd be willing to chip in on some food if you need help.
If it doesn't get back to its original home, Lets find it another real good Home..

My wife and our dog and my Friends will be hunting the Mills today at 9am. I will show her the thread in case the bump into someone looking for the dog.

Awesome work saving that dog! At least she was found, I hate reading the stories of someone who lost a dog and is looking for it on here. I found a dog once and called the local police. I just asked if anyone had called about a lost dog. They didnt say anything about picking it up and taking it away.

I hope the owner is found.

I really commend you for doing such a great job on taking care of the dog like it was your own.

My English Setter was stolen on one of our hunts YEARS ago in Assunpink. The problem is, the dog won't hunt for anyone else but us. Someone dropped the dog back off and a good citizen saw him, contacted us and we got him back. One of the best days of my life...and also one of the best dogs.

We found out that we have to wait 7 days after posting a found ad in the newspaper, before we can take her to a vet and to keep her, we can be suied if anything happens to the dog within the 7 days of finding its owner. I'm going today to have her scaned, to see if she has a chip. too many bumps w/ skin and bone on her..for me to find a chip on her ears and back..
