Maybe need to follow Pa sportsmens lead and sue the F$W coucil for mismanagement. The Pa sportsmen just won their opening round suit against the PGC for mismanagement of the deer herd for selling to many antlerless permits even though thousands of Pa sportsmen were writing and calling about seeing no deer. A biologist hired by teh sportsmen testified that Pa biologists were telling the PGC what they wanted to hear instead of doing what was right for herd management. Sounds very familiar doesn't it? Our wildlife in NJ is being managed for $$$ and politics in NJ not for herd quality and a quality hunting experience.

Can the man have an AMEN Brothers and Sisters?
Instead we will get 2 more weeks of shotgun button buck season and croaabows reclassified as "Bows".
IMO if we don't drag their ass into court we should at least drug test the F+G council.

I just went all day and saw shit again!

To all you guys who shoot multiple does and think your a real hunter thanks for ruining it for all the rest of us!

You guys who think you manage the herd, give me a break we are in NJ for gosh sakes. Shooting does and small bucks,,, then everyone complains.

I shot zero does this year and in the past!

Too many does are def. being shot and its a joke. NJ does not care about the hunter / sportsmen they just want their money and the deer gone!

Check the posts and tally up all the hunters on here who shot multiple does. Ohh but its legal, we have a right to shoot what they say we can. excuses and you guys suck!

Shooting does is not a bad thing. The over harvest in areas where there is good hunter access is. That is what the state is doing.
If we do not need earn a buck anymore, why do we need 3 shotgun doe days in Nov? We don't it is all a money thing to sell permits. Why do we need to be able to shoot does during the week of 6 day? We don't just another reason to sell permits. Our dinosaurs of a F&W council have no clue about proper deer manegement. They were political appointees and are doing what typical polititians do. Drain us of our money with no regard for anything else. They need to go!

I know of a club in the Manalapan area that bragged they killed 104 deer last year, but bitched they have not seen anything this week. Gee I wonder why?

there are several reasons for this lack of taken deer. first we have the hunters going to kill all you can then turn it into condo zones. now we just lost people that kept the deer moving in our zone. then we have the older hunters that have either died off or they live on a fixed income and have enough trouble putting milk in the frige. then the state continues to make us pay for bonus anything permits. next they will make us pay for permits for keeping extra ammo. then we have the kids that rather play stupid video games then enjoy the great outdoors. well not my kids. they love eating deer meat and wild turkey. it might be a good time to read that crap voting paper they send us and vote for a gov that stands for our right and not the vote for me and i will set you free morons that throw us under a bus.

You guys think someone should start a petition and send it F&G. Restrictions on unlimited doe hunting and 3 points on one side. I have 3 acres of food plots on 125 acres and this year all bow and extended bow I saw 1 doe and two fawns in the fields. Also saw 9 different bucks (small ones)consistenly. I am in zone 5, these restrictions would help change what I've been seeing. F&G has no idea what the population is anymore I believe they just want more money from us!

I have a buddy that tells me up by him, lots of people come over from Pa and shoot as many does as they can because the Pa regs are so strict. So not only are a lot of NJ guys doing damage, but some of our herd is also feeding a good amount of Pa residents as well.
I have no problem with people following the rules, even if they come from out of state. But I don't think it is a coincidence that the zones that seem hardest hit this year (5,3,10,14) are along the border with NY or PA.

This has been an ongoing issue with some guys(and girls)on this site. I must say that I agree with mtmebnj in that people are shooting way too many does!! I've already mentioned this here and all I got back was negative responses. I'm not impressed by someone killing 10 or more deer in a season. I also don't want to here that you're "managing" the deer herd in your area. Besides that, how many of these deer are going to waste? Don't come crying here when in a couple of years there are no deer left in this state! Sure I know it's legal but like it's been said before, this state is all about the almighty dollar and could give two s--ts about the sportsmen and women. In my area in particular(zone 3) I have been seeing more and more deer drives during the muzzy and shotgun seasons wher the people involved kill anything that comes his or her way. They decimate the woods of any living creature and wonder why the deer herd is down the following season!!!

Some places need people that will kill 10 deer, some need people that will kill more, others need strict regs in place. Every place in this state is different, so you can't just lump everyone in the same category. It's the state fish and game that needs to find a proper balance. Unlimited antlerless and tons of doe days, make people believe that we need to kill more and more deer. It's those that are in the woods every day that realize the truth.
I think fish and game have a tough and thankless job.
