Anyone have good results with Rage broadheads? I having been reading reviews that they are problem when they hit any bone.
They are nice, that arrow isn't going anywhere, but it ripped my fletches apart last year so i switched to a drop away.I like mine. Messes up the flechings a little but not much.
The first year they came out they had a recall b/c they wouldn't open right. The top of the blades were rounded. I hit a deer in the shoulder last year and the blade was bent a little but fully deployed and did the trick still. I wish I took a pic. (wasn't real proud of the shot[confusedagain])But its DISADVANTAGE, is people say they dont deploy all the time. (Like when you hit a bone.)
[up][up]I went back to Thunderheads
I just get worried when hunters rely on a "super head" to make up for a less than perfect shot.
"huge holes"
The only reason I can think of going to fixed is if you can't shoot straight. I don't see a problem using rage if you place the shot in the right spot. [cool]Stick to Fixed, forget about the RAGE!
