Deer Rules: Just Thought of Something

I just thought of something.

Let's say I shoot two does/bank-a-doe in a "red" zone in September.

After I check in the 2nd doe I get another tag valid for a 3rd deer, but only for "certain" zones.

Basically, I can no longer hunt/try to shoot a buck in Zone 6...since my 3rd deer tag is no good.

Damn it. [down]

all you have is a 3rd deer transportation tag...
That tag is just for a buck in a EAB zone.
After you shoot your second deer... the check station gives you a 3rd deer transportation tag that is not valid in some zones (ie, 6 and 4).
Because that is your buck tag for only the permit zone you took your EAB.

you would still need to buy a permit for zone 6 for the extended season

luknikk... you are correct for EAB/BAD zones... but NOT zone 6 or 4.
Ok I am gonna go over this senerio one more time.
Right now my bow license is valid for only fall bow.
So weather I hunt early bow or I start hunting when the season opens state wide That is what I bought this licence for.
SO if I hunt In Mendham early bow and I get a doe I am tagging her and getting a second deer tag. I can now kill a buck in this zone only until the state opens in Oct. Then I can kill a buck either in Zone 9 or zone 6. Lets say I kill a buck after I get my doe earle season, I could still BAD for my EAB zone come permit bow season. every zone says you are entitled to 1 BUCK DURING FALL AND 1 DURING PERMIT. tHE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS SOME ZONES ARE qdm AND SOME eab..

I'm not arguing But I am so passionate about hunting when I know I'm right I'm gonna make my point. I dont want him to think he cant shoot a buck just because he shot 2 does.
luknikk i totally understand you man....i was just readin everybodys posts and my head was spinning...lol....all different scenarios...i was tryin to piece things together but it just wasnt happening...lol

Luk,

Sorry, your wrong. In zone 6 you are allowed 2 deer any sex during fall bow. Doesn't matter where you took those 2 deer, could be 2 in zone 8, your tags are not valid in zone 6. Period. Stupid, but that's how the law is written.

However, in extended bow the game starts again. 2 deer, no more.
I don'r think so. Here's the 2006-07 rules. Zone 9 is unlimeted does. therefore if I do not soot a buck in zone 9 come state opener I can shoot a buck there. Because my BAD is ONLY FOR ZONE 9

But the supplimental deer tag from zone 9 counts as ONE antlerless deer, you still have a buck tag that can be utilized anywhere.

The supplimental deer tag cannot be used to take an antlerless deer in Zone 6 but you CAN go to Zone 9 and continue to take does.

Luk,

"BAD" has nothing to do with it. Buck tags have nothing to do with it.

• Note: Supplemental Deer Transportation Tags marked “valid for the taking of a 3rd or more deer” are not
valid in any zone within Regulation Sets # 1, 2 or 3.

In other words, if you already took 2 deer (buck or doe) from ANY other zone you cannot hunt in regulation sets 1,2 or 3.

That's only because those zones only allow 2 deer. your second doe only counts towards your permit deer tag. So when I bank a doe it will say only valid in zone 9. I still am entitled to a buck that I can take anywhere in the state. I just cant tag a deer in zone 1-2-3 with that 3rd deer tag.
