Zone 51, same deal, saw approximately a herd of about 10-12 in September, then from Nov til Sunday no pics on the cam and corn and pumpkins not even touched. Very strange. Never have I not seen deer at this spot. Very little sign either! Early fall I would figure not seeing much with the historical mast crop we had and they would not have to travel for food, but not seeing anything on the cam late season like this is very mysterious.

I am seeing plenty of deer on the west side of the Pasadena road in Lebanon. They are out in the open oaks. Getting good bucks on cam.

don't bait and go find where they natural feed. and I bet you'll to see them.

this mild winter means they arent in an extreme need for food to keep warm, couple that with the fact that there was a MASSIVE acorn drop this year and its not hard to see why they arent hitting bait. I would imagine most deer are still eating acorns. Back when i was still hunting deer (which i did mostly for meat and to keep the landowners of my goose properties happy) i was a baiter, corn, pumpkins and apples were my main bait. It definitely got hit harder when the ground was covered in snow and it was cold out. Everything has a place in the world of hunting when its this warm and there is as much food as there is around bait is not going to be the ticket.

21 defeats the purpose only 1 deer except 6 day hmmm. You tell me the federation for driving clubs didn't have a say in that. Kill 1 with a bow but 2 with a gun that will work smdh..it should of been one across the board

ohh because bow hunters have no advantages over gun hunters across most of the state due to the various bow organizations only lobbying for bow hunters... like sunday bow hunting... 150 foot rule... hunting with a bow from september till february in some zones...getting to hunt the rut... your crying is a bit ignorant and not well thought out

Uumm nobody is crying..if you going to bring the herd back you don't do it by allowing more in one season and not the other. .that was my point. I don't care what you think you big bubble head "pun intended" for your info I don't like the eab season or hunting bow or gun into february. .so stuff that in your decoy bag

It was the federation and the southern gun club's that lobbied for the reduction in the bag limits plus the reduction of days during permit bow and permit muzzleloader. They also wanted to increase permit shotgun from one day to three. That didn't happen though, thankfully. It was about reallocating the harvest. That is just what it said when it was introduced in the changes to the game code a few years ago

Anyone having luck ? Have not seen a deer in days, not even on the camera. [down] Bait has not been eaten either ?
I saw a lot of deer in 18 during bow seasons and passed a ton of shots including a decent 8 point on two of those sits. I just put my cams back out in 18 a couple weeks ago and am getting daytime pics of does and little bucks.

I had 5 bucks and 5 or more does all season and they are still on cam just 2 hours before or after daylight. The piece I hunt was driven monday for sure and im sure again during six-day. Someone probably cut you off and is baiting close by drawing them off the trail you hunt. I saw another cam pretty close to where I am and he probably feels the same way you do.

Soooo your still only allowed 1 deer no matter what season except 6 day in zone 21 correct? And they wanted to expand SHOTGUN doe. Thanks my original point was correct.
