Man had a great encounter this evening. I got off a bit early and wanted get out hunting. Unfortunitely I had to go home and ge my gear. Anywho....I arrive at 330 pm and start headin to my stand.
Wait a second theres a deer by the horse pen? So I take a look..its that 200lbs doe I posted about earlier. SO..I figure I am gonna go after her; until I turn right and see the nice buck standin in the corner.
He was an big 8 approx 18-20 wide and TALL. Now I am tryin to figure out how in the hell I am gonna get to my stand becuase I gotta get past him to get there[confusedagain]
Well I said I am gonna put the sneak on him and see what happens. Long story short I stalked up across and open field to 59 yards. At no time was he even worried or payin attention to me. He just keep shadowin the does that were there. At 59 yards.. I said I just need 9 more yards and he'll be in range. Well he decided to mosey on back into the woods.
I continued to try and get within range, but it just work out. Needless to say i didnt hag out much longer and decided to pack it in.
I sure hope I get to see him again....he probably went 130 give or take and was atleast 200lbs easy. Woulda filled up my freezer real nice[up]
