How did you take your first deer? Was it in Nj? Buck or doe?

My very first day deer hunting ... a very nice buck. Federal Water Gap Recreation area land, near Dingman's. Jennings bow that I bought mail order from an archery catalog. Fingers, no sight, etc. Old army bdu's. On the ground, hidden in natural cover on a little folding chair.
I had done a lot of scouting ... making the drive from my Union County home each weekend. I was confident I would see that buck, and I did .. late in the afternoon.
It was so very satisfying ... that all the work (scouting) I put into it, paid off.
