I'm not sure if this has even been started on this site as an actual thread so I thought I'd start one. I have seen others in the past "donate" hunting equipment, clothing, calls, etc. to other members but I figured maybe we can start a thread and perhaps make it a sticky. Those of you that have something you'd like to give to a new hunter, a hunters kid, a fellow hunter that may have lost their job, or lost their gear to the hurricane, I urge you to post it here on this thread. I also realize that pride sometimes clouds our judgment so if you see something you could use for the new hunter in your family, or if you're new and can't afford all the stuff, shoot the poster a pm and explain who you are.

As a longtime hunter, I've gone through plenty(ask my wife) of hunting gear in my years of hunting. More often than not, I just upgrade to something that's a newer model, little bit better technology, or a different size(ask my wife lol). Now usually I try and find a friend or even someone on here that could use my stuff and unless its something that's crazy expensive and I need the extra cash, I usually just give it to them to continue the friendly sportsmanlike hunter to hunter relationships. So that got me thinking about why we should really start a thread like this.

Our heritage as hunters and sportsman and women is something that we all cherish dearly as I'm sure you all will agree. We all try on a daily basis to educate others on this. We also know that with any hobby, and I use that lightly, it can get pretty damned expensive, especially if the person is brand new to the sport. I know from personal experience that that sometimes makes people shy away. I really hate to see that happen when I know that there is something that I or others can do to change that. As a father of three wonderful kids, one of which is now almost 9 and reaching the age where she wants to do more outdoors with me, I myself will soon be in the market for kids camo and stuff like that. But what if I couldn't afford to do that for my kids. What if they may have to wait another year? I couldn't imagine telling them I can't take them.

So that little soapbox speech brings me to the creation of this thread. I know I have other stuff laying around that I don't use and I'll add that stuff later when I clean out my basement, but for now I'm starting with these because they've been in my truck for god knows how long and I don't even waterfowl hunt anymore. They're brand new goose calls that I want to send to someone who may want to give their little one for Christmas. Or maybe a new hunter that's learning the ways of the eastern flyway. I have two of these so the first two people that need them, shoot me a pm.

I hope to be able to watch as this thread grows and helps others in our amazing outdoor sportsman journey.

Great Idea!! Love the idea of a sticky trhead for this, I still have a shotgun 12 ga Stevens model 94 singleshot, was going to give it to petenice02, but he is still recovering and will not be hunting this year. I would like to give this to a kid, but any adult who is down and out for whatever reason is welcome to put in for it. I am selective as I know there are guys who just want free stuff and have other guns to use.

Same as MikePiotti but mine is a XXL it also has holder for Lic with the big babypin, belt and throwing a compass with it. Excellent condition worn once. I posted it as well on CL and had a buyer but then the buyer wanted to barter with a date etc.. that aint happening lol I rather give the jumper away than do that. It is a mans XXL.

This is a great idea to the first poster. I've given a lot of stuff away to good people on here and not. Its a great idea so long as no one takes advantage of it for the wrong reasons.

I am looking for a woman's bow if some one would keep me in mind. Send a message I will return it. Going in for surgery this wednesday so it will get back asap. Thanks in advance ;)

The shotgun has been promised to a worth person, to those who contacted me, thank you. If the person who gets this is willing to reveal their identity so be it. I must say, it is going to person who does really need a lift.
Merry Christmas

It has been a good year for me. I purchased an older (but beautiful) JC Higgins 16 gauge bolt action shotgun from a fellow forum member. I no longer need this gun. I would like to give it to someone, preferably a young hunter, that truely can't afford to buy a gun. I'll see if I can dig up some sheels to go with it as well. The gun is in great condition and has a poly choke on it. I will also be selective. As usual, a FID card and drivers license will be required. Let's try to get this to a needy hunter for Christmas.
