I want to first thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts and prayers also for the calls and texts. that you have given for my son. Being in the ICU I have not been able to call back yet but I will thank you. I cannot tell you how much it means for this. He is going to make it.
The Bruise on the brain is healing, the knee will be fine and the cut on the kidney is not a factor now. The chest and shoulder injury is the worst but there is no life treating issues now. Except for infection setting in. They will be starting the operations I believe tomorrow to fix the bones, they are still exposed, try to mend the muscle damage and since there is no skin left at that spot start grafting. Infection is the major concern now.
Many of you know the faith in GOD that I my family has, and we give him all the praise for the outcome of this. The police officer told me when I spoke to him yesterday he feared a fatality, the nurses told me late Friday night that most of the motorcycle accidents of this magnitude, the results are paralyzed or worst, and they said it he is a very lucky young man. In the 2 days I have talked to, heard, or was texted from people that went past the spot saw my son on the ground not knowing it was Jennings and asked God to intervene in this young man’s life only to find out latter it was my son. There were 2 young Girls that saw it happen ages 16 and 17, they stopped, started life saving actions and never left his side and even went to cooper and stayed for many hours. So please forgive me for openly thanking my God for giving the folks at the scene all the police, EMT by standers that jumped in along with giving the doctors the ability to save my sons life.
The Biggest problem my son had on his mind yesterday was he had to make it to the rodeo to compete last night. He said if he was going to make the finals he needed to be there. I had to remind him he is in the hospital and I don’t think he will be roping the rest of the season; he looked at me and said oh yeah LOL
Thank you all
Ron
