Went out with my buddy and had lots of action right off the roost. Only issue was thr long beards were hened up and stayed out over 100 yards giving us a show. After some running and gunning, hit the last spot and sat for a while. Seen a nice group of redheads but they went the other way. So I sat some more and just when the fat lady was about to sing here comes this nice gobbler with some young jakes in tow to the sounds of my box call or perhaps the sound of desperation with only 5 minutes till the bell rang. But luckily the only bell that was rung was this gobblers courtesy of some #5 Winchester XR. Like the title says, started off henned up but this guy ended up in the truck[up]

congrats on a nice bird, I have got quite a few in the last 5 min. one on my first birds I killed on state land years ago I pulled the trigger with a minuite to go, when I got back to the truck a warden was there, he said you cut that one close, jokeing I said na I had plenty of time, a minuite to go. he said try 23 seconds
