x7 your right, but i,m pretty good with my equipment i only shoot 75 grain mechanical heads for that reason and i have a 30 inch draw @60 pds should be plenty to drive the arrow throught, but no blood[confused][confused][confused] like i said i dont know what to think...did i miss and the arrow is buried in the weeds..i,ve shot over 30 deer and other animals so i think i know what the deal is, but this one has me ready to jump

Don't kick out the chair yet!!!

did i miss and the arrow is buried in the weeds
That is a good question. sometimes it sounds like you hit a body but you hit the dirt. I understand the experience thing HUNT1940, but there is a first time for everything.

No blood could mean you hit high on the deer's inhale and no blood left the inside and reached the ground or the arrow is clogging the wound. No explaination until you get back out there and investigate. Finding that arrow is the key.

Lighted nocked arrows will often slip under the leaves and be lost.

I have never heard a bone sound on a rib hit, only a slight drumming sound on a chest hit.

If you heard bone it was most likely a shot to the shoulder blade. It varys in thickness and the sound you get depends on where you hit it.

Also if the luminock disapeared on the deer you should have a pass through and good blood.

Keep looking for evidence of a hit or miss, check pinch points in the direction he ran for blood.

Good luck

Bummer. Not a drop of blood? How far did you see him before he was out of sight. Was he bolting?

This happened this AM to my buddy in Long Island on a 8 pointer. He saw the arrow hit the shoulder and found the 3/4 of the arrow. Not one single drop of blood to be found. The deer ran with no problem over 100 yards before he lost him. good chance deer survive on shots like that.

Good luck and sorry.
