try the t/c superglide shockwaves with your omega. you'll find that they are probably the easiest sabot to load in your omega. t/c omegas are well known for very tight bores which is one of the reasons they're so accurate.

are they the plastic sabot and if so can I use them with the Barnes/Knight Red Hots? Reason I ask cause I just love what they do to the deer

 

bhc, they are plastic but you can only get them as a package deal with the shockwaves. i tried to buy the sabots separately from t/c and they said they do not sell the sabots alone. i found out that MMP makes them for t/c but he can't sell them outright as t/c owns the design. i got this right from the owner Del from MMP. the shockwaves are great for medium game such as deer or black bear and in reality they are hornady sst bullets that they make for t/c. the only difference is the color of the plastic tip. send me a pm if you want loads that worked up for my omega.

Good luck with your new omega.Ive had mine for 3 years now and will take it over any rifle or shotgun out to 150yds.Extremly accurate too (shot on top of shot at 100 yrds.)4 deer killed with it 3 dropped on the spot and one big one ran 30yds.and dropped .Absolutly devestating and I only use 2 777 pellets.I hope you enjoy it and have alot of success with it.

What kind of scope? Couldn't find SS rings/mounts? I had a hard time but finally found rings for my new Marlin XLR. I may spray the base.

Never looked for them I planed from the time I ordered the scope to go with black.I like the contras of the black and silver scope & the grey laminated stock

I sprayed a black gloss scope with a matte black spray and it held up great..I may try it with a silver finish...

 

I have the laminate stock that I bought from Paul (Droptine) and like it, but it is very smooth. Checkering would be nice. Got to love the Omega. I have a 3x9 Burris Fullfield on mine and am very happy with it.
