I stopped at a buddies house tonight after leaving the woods and he saw my bow in my truck. Told me that I shouldn't have 4 bolts with broad heads. He says I'm aloud 3 broad heads and 1 field point. I cant find anything in the rules and regs about that. Does anyone know?

How do you plan on decocking your XB without a field point? Gonna sling a $15-30 broadhead into the dirt? HAHA

I hunt with three broadheads and one field point. Its just right.

there is no law how many u can carry it is not law to carry field point but a good idea to discharge if u have a crank no need. on the low end I don't think it's law but ethicly one should have 2 at a minimum for a finishing shot if needed. compound or x bow

I've had to use three in the past... two deer and a follow up on one. Technically I could have recovered the arrow after shooting the first deer and used that for the follow up shot on the one I spined..

This is due to the NJ High Capacity Assault Crossbow bill of 2011 sponsored by Loretta Weinberg. Since enacted, there has not been a single multiple victim shooting in the Garden State. A model for the rest of the nation where crossbow deaths are the norm.

i hunt my own property so just bring 2 with me in the field...shoot my field tipped bolt that I keep at the house when I get back.

I never need to carry a field tip. I have an Excalibur.

JD H, I leave a bolt with a field tip in my truck, with a small shooting bag in the bed for de cocking. I was always under the impression that you could not carry field points while hunting. But unlike most xbow guys I used to use a compound until I broke my wrist and hand.

I carry these in my bag CUB™ my xbow quiver only holds 3 bolts and they are all topped with broadheads.

My field tip is in the truck along with a target bag , Miler they changed that field tip law to allow for x bows.
