while we all have good times and fishing on our minds ,lets get it going .This year I want to hold a thank you contest .I want to thank the NJOA for all its hard work ,We will be holding this seasons fluke a thon on 7-11-09 ,I am asking for 20 dollars per man for this contest and $10 will go towards a donation to the NJOA as a big thank you from the hunter/fisherman/outdoorsmen of new jersey ,these guys put alot of time in and it is about time we do a little for them .This year I want to have 1st and second place with the two biggest fish combined wieght winning that means the 2 biggest fluke on your teams boat will be entered for a combined wieght.the wiegh in will be at the keyport ramp like always at 4:00 pm .please sign up and start a list w/ your names and help us out to make a donation from the members of njh

guys w/o boats do yourself a favor and call and book a boat fast .if you dont want to charter you can put a team together and fish a head boat or even fish the beach

I be in BTW in case there was any confusion.
Just for clarity sake...

1) This is individual entry, and individual 2 fish entry? You said $20 per man, but said 2 biggest fish per boat?

2) What is the breakdown of 1st and 2nd place pool wise out of the remaining $10? Maybe do $25 = $10 to NJOA, $10 to 1st, $5 to 2nd?

I figured people will make teams up like always so it is 2 biggest fish per boat

I think we will have a great turn out for this so I will break it down when I get a total amount closer to the date

I'm in, but I don't get the two biggest fish deal? Why not just make it the big boy takes first, and second biggest takes second just like the bassathon?
cuz that way you can not land one big fish and sit back all day ,now you have to worry about others landing 2 decent fish .I do this every year in my edison tourny and it is more fun .it adds excitment to the day

One fish or two fish is fine...but I wouldn't mix individual contest entry and boat fish entry. If it will be a boat fish entry, then make it a boat contest entry as well.

If you are trying to allow single entries in to fish head boats, then how will that work? One guy on a head boat has to compete with N guys on a charter or private boat since they'd be pooling their fish together.

Ok...Ok....two fluke - one has to be spotted and the other one must be solid brown. Raccoon chewed fluke need not apply and if you rest your pole on the rail it don't count. $25 prize for the biggest star gazer and $5 for the biggest sea robin. $2 for a picture of SFL (Swine Flu Lou) barfing over the gunwhale and $1 prize for a phone cam video of the Scrubster on an epic whiff.....:D
