So I was just reading an article about how December set a new all time record for NICS checks and I kind of meandered to the FBI site regarding NICS. On the FBI website it says that NICS in West Virginia is open 17 hours a day, 7 days a week, and Holidays (excluding Christmas)....
" NICS is customarily available 17 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays (except for Christmas)."
I have gone in to buy guns before and been told, oh sorry NICS just closed at 4pm, or oh its Sunday, we cant do a NICS check you can only buy Muzzleloaders...
So my question is this, does NJ have any laws that restrict the sales of guns rather than NICS being the problem (i.e. in NJ you cant buy guns on sunday or after 4pm?) or have I just been getting the run around in these instances?
