Hi Guys,

I have been looking for another ground blind over the past few months. My preference was to purchase another Double Bull Crusher as I am extremely happy with the one I already have. Unfortunately, they are no longer made and are nearly impossible to find unless you are willing to pay full original list prices.

One of the things I really like about the Crusher is the 360 degree windows. The thing I don't like is the entry/exit is really tight and impossible to move through with a pack on while carring a bow/gun etc.

Eventually, despite my desire for another crusher I decide I would give the new Double Bull Double Wide a shot. While it does not have the same the 360 degree windows as the crusher, it does have the new "Double Wide" door. Clearly, the makers heard from lots of guys like me who were unhappy with Primos' earlier door designs and they decided to adress it. The Double Wide entry looks like a decent trade off against losing large shooting windows behind where one would sit in the blind.

The Double Wide's retail for 400$ plus shipping. There was no way I was paying that. Even looking on Ebay and the grey market websites thay are rarely available for less than 320-340$ shipped....Wishfull that I could do better I held off from buying one.

Then last week just before I was heading out for a hunt I checked Ebay as I was doing pretty regularly looking for a deal on one. I was absolutely shocked a find a listing from a top seller offering the blinds for $240 Buy it now..Shipped!

Needless to say, I had to do a double take as that is way below the price anyone is selling them for. I immediately decided it was time to pull the trigger. At that price I didn't want just one, but two!

Knowing the listing price was almost certainly a mistake I really doubted that the seller was going to deliver (after all that is about 50% of the retail list price). Not surprisingly, by the time I checked the listing again a few hours later the price was corrected. The listing was supposed to be $340 shipped.

Amazingly though...on my doorstep today arrived two brand new blinds.

Needless to say I am psyched!

Here was my early season spot this year. This was with a Crusher in a location that I put a good deal of time into setting up pre-season just for the blind. Mel and did very well from this spot....

Congrats! Good luck with them.

Also, great job getting the blind situated as concealed as you did. You can hardly see it and looks very natural.

Gg the 360 is also discontinued?

Like everything that is a semi-custom design, it all comes to using the right tool for the right job.

When bow or crossbow hunting there really is not a great need for the 360 windows. Ideally you are going to be set up with the whole back side closed anyways. You also want to be set up in manner that won't require you to turn completely around when the deer are preferably close enough to make a bow shot...For that application, I think the Double Wide is the better choice, especially if you are baiting, as it will help significantly reduce noise when entering and exiting and the deer are highly likely to be close by.

For gun hunting I would unquestionably favor the 360 design of the Crusher. With a gun you can sit with the 360 windows open and even have the mesh down if you want. Once you see something approaching you can easily move around in the blind and lift the mesh with little or no concern. You should have no problem getting a shot off before a deer becomes concerned enough that it bolts given the range you can shoot with almost any gun.

As I use the blinds primarily for bow hunting I think the Double Wide is going to be great....If I need more view..I'll just use the Crusher instead!
