Couple yote tales.

2 years ago my friend took his GSP out to do his business on X-mas day, yote came right up the driveway after the dog. His dog thought the yote was trying to play, meanwhile my friend is kicking at the yote. Yote wouldn't leave.

We've seen yotes pack up and drive deer. Seen a pack split into 2 groups. 4 standers and 2 drivers. The 2 yotes called to the standing yotes, then started zig-zagging a thicket driving deer out. they hit the standers and all hell broke loose. Yotes will kill adult deer when they pack.

Many dogs are taken off the leash, and unleashed dogs are even more vulnerable. People think they aren't around, but they are very elusive, and more active at night. How many non-hunters are outside in the woods at night, not many. I've already heard them calling in anticipation of mating.
They do a number on turkey poults. We've seen 1 yote take out a whole brood. That's fine, if there weren't so many yotes. Last turkey season I heard very few birds talking. It was the most successfull season I've ever had, but the birds would only talk when they were close, and I actually heard one on roost make the quietest gobble I ever heard, just loud enough for me to hear. I think the turkeys in my hunting area are learning, that they open their mouth, and the yotes show up. I saw probobly a dozen yotes while calling turkeys. They need to let you shoot yotes during turkey. I've also had decoys taken out. If you love turkey hunting, take out some yotes.
No yote gets the pass from me. For every one I see, there are probobly 20 more
