Well it was my first day ever using a ML. Just never got into these things.
Set up my T/C Encore this year to give it a whirl.
Saw 20+ deer at 7:30 but they were about 15 yds off the property on some posted property. I watched all but 2 little dinkers walk by. The little ones came to the feeder, I let them go, then they caught up to the others.
Saw another group an hour later that wanted to come out of the really thick stuff but decided against it and went back in to bed down.
At 10:30 I had a group come from the other side, I took a nice doe for my first ever ML kill.
Oh yea, with all these deer running around, there wasn't a buck of any sort in the whole bunch. [mad]
Saw a 1 horn 2pt this aft. that passed broadside in front of my blind at 15 yds on the rangefinder. He walked to be gotten another year or 2 from now.
At 3:30 I had a group, it may have been part of the large group from this AM, of about 15 come out into the field. I let them walk around the feeder, into the cedars, back out etc until around 4PM. At which time I was satisfied that there were no horns to be found in this group.
I picked out one of the 4 very large does and took my second ML deer.
Not a great pic but I didn't have anyone hunting with me to take a pic at the property.
