I missed the NJ opener as I was hunting in Florida this past weekend for Osceola's. I was more than honored to have met a new buddy by the name of Jim. Jim was told he only had 2 months to live 4 years ago as he was diagnosed with brian cancer. But here he is hunting turkeys and even though everyday is a challenge he shows me and everyone around him what it means to be a warrior and survivor. Saturday morning both Jim and I missed gobblers but we kept at it and Saturday evening we both took really nice gobblers. As I see it, we are living a dream and enjoying every moment we have. We had a blast in camp wth some awesome people. Really nothing comes close to sharing a hunting camp with great people. I got to come back with this gobbler as well as my mounted gobbler I took from last year, which made the trip that mush sweeter. Now time for NJ gobblers!
Here is my buddy Jim, a true warrior!
Here we are with our gobblers, buddies who took us out and redemption after we noth missed that morning.
Here is one of the funniest and coolest cats you can share camp with. Oh ya, he is a killer!
Here is my buddy who took me out and daggers
My gobbler from last year coming back to Jersey with me.
