Can someone tell me about this area. Looks to be a big park that backs up to properties. What zone is it..
Can you hunt on private? Hows the hunting? Thanks all

Red Hill Rd, Middletown? If so it's Tatum Park and it zone 50.Pat of Monmouth County Parks $25 permit...Almost hit a 150 class buck over there the other night with my car...Have not hunted it since it opened,way to many hunters but not sure about it now...good luck

Over rated!!!!! Another place people think they own the place cause they hunted the same tree two hrs. in a row and almost every time you hunt it is almost guaranteed it will be ruined with a hunter walking around at prime time.

Tatum park has a group of assholes there . they believe they own the land because the have hunted there for a few years .. had a guy follow me around when I was scouting trying to tell me where I can and cant hunt because him and his friends stands where here and there lol

That's what I have heard about each and everyone of the parks but my personal experience has been different. Also as far as a guy saying where you can and can't hunt. I would laugh at him. It's public land. The rule is one hang on or ladder stand per park. That's why I hang my stand in the spot I feel would be the best and then bring in my climber and hunt where I want the other times based upon wind. It's been my experience guys try and stake a claim but then hardly if ever hunt. So if I go in with my climber I am going to hunt the spot I feel is the best for the conditions. If you walk in after me it is what it is. If I walk in after you are where I want to be. I back out and either don't hunt or go to an alternative spot. It's public land hunting. It is what it is. Can't have everything unless you own the property yourself.

I've lived here my whole life and have seen some really big bucks over the years but land that isn't polluted with ass O s is hard too find in this town ! ( hunters ) around here will mess up you spot even on private land !
