Hey Guys,

As many of you may know my house is right in the heart of Jersey City only a block from Journal Square. Around Journal Square there are several large buildings that have in recent years become home to several raptors, primarily red tailed hawks I believe.

Walking to work this morning...I found this nice little present on the side walk left by one of our finer feathered friends!!

Nice work is all I can say!! (Oh yeah...and...run pigeons..run!!![rofl]

I watched two young Red Tails getting their butts kicked by crows this morning while I took my shower. I saw one of them take down a songbird this summer while walking to my car, he came right down and went through the hedge and come out the other side with a bird in his talons. Pretty cool stuff.

jc is it work that keeps you there ?
Yes...for the past ten years I have worked within two path stations from my where I lived. No real commute whatsoever. (Also the fishing in the river is pretty good !!)

Now that I have a decent house with two car parking, a dedicated gun room etc, life is much better than living in a small studio type apartment as I used to. (Only so many guns and fishing rods you can fit into one closet!![rofl] )

[32 years i lived in UC, took my hunter ed class at the jersey city armoury. learned how to fish @ Hundon county park and hunt @ sawmill, secuacaus AND trained my brittany on wild phansants in meadowlands.]

Amazing, all of the above for me(even the Brit)also, except I was in JC not UC but right on the border. WOW, what memories of the meadows! I'm a bit older than you but apparently the hunting was still good after I left in 94.
