Was curious to see how many like the new website. Be truthful. No brown nosing allowed....[smoke]
Give us time guys, we'll get that going as well. Rome wasn't built in a dayIm getting used to it, but really miss the green. It was kind of like the njh signature. Hint hint
I can do a green/tan camo color combo if you guys wantA hunting site with fishing colors . . . humm . . . just sayin . . .
Everything should have made it. So if it didn't, I will investigate why tomorrow.Change is always a little hard for me, but I think I'll come around. Just poking around the site I do think I will like some of the added functionality.
One quick thing I noticed is that the "North Zone" under Waterfowl didn't make it through the changeover.... is it gone or just another item on the to-do list?
It's only going to get better from here on out as wellI want to change my vote to really like it from "it is ok"
If a reply is small then you will see the box is set by the height of the box that contains your username, avatar, join date, posts, etc... the only way to make it smaller is to make that box smaller. The only way to do that is with smaller fonts, and they are already pretty small. So unfortunately there's no easy way to save space beyond how it is already doneThe size of the reply boxes really needs to be downsized. Its a ton more clicking to get thru the responses. Not a friendly size
This is a known issue with IE we are working on right now. It only happens if your IE is in 'compatability mode' -- which is not the default. If you turn this off it works properly.buckman, log out and navigate away from the site. Clear out all your cookies, cache and temp internet files and then log back in. See if that fixes it. Also I HIGHLY recommend Google Chrome over IE. It's faster and much more stable/bug free.
We can reduce the size of the avatar, but I'm guessing some people like a larger Avatar. At the same time the box is full of useless (to me anyway) stats and seemingly huge avatar space. [confused]
Not to mention MUCH more secure then IE...Very cool. You will love Google Chrome, it's a GREAT browser.
Awesome man, glad you like itYesterday wasn't sure, but today the new software has grown on me. I like it!
It is not possible to add spell check to the site. However, if you are using Google Chrome or Firefox, they both have spell checkers built in. So when you are editing a post, they will underline mis-spelled words for you automagically!Shocked when I first logged on, not to see the familiar green, but has grown on me since, great job, nice new features, how about adding a spell check for most of us.....?[smirk]
If you use the quick reply, you can type in the box and just hit submit. Its quick and dirty.OK.
I was posting a reply. Then I found TWO "click boxes" : "Post Quick Reply" and " Reply to Thread" and I found painfully they are not the same, ok, the click boxes are different ... so I should supposed they make different things... BUT. BUT... my point is, WHY you need to have TWO different buttons, that makes you confused ( i was) since last week we just had ONE reply box... do you need more "types" of replies ?? a reply is just a reply !!
I am NOT going to write all that thing again !!
Plain and simple things are faster and easy, usually. No need to get fancy or sophisticated.
Try double clicking it, that should do it.Not for me, I have to go to 'Go Advanced'.
Keep in mind, you can click on the bottom right hand corner of the quick reply box and resize that as well. It will save it to whatever size you make it for in the future as well. Thanks for the update on the box size. If I was 80 and losing my eyesight I would appreciate the extra space[rofl] This is by far the largest box size of any of the local outdoor sites I frequent. Instead of 5 posts per page I would prefer 10. Other than that it seems to be working fine
