Well guys this may sound like a stuipid question but, im going to get my shotgun and myzzleloader/rifle permit in begining of april and was wondering how do i go about buying a gun.What kind of lisences and stuff do i need?

i was talking to my friend in school who hunts and has private land in pa and he said you need to live there but if you duke the guy a couple of bucks at walmart that youll get it.

If u are 18 go to local Police dept. and ask for a application for a firearms I.D card.

You need a Federal ID Card. You need to be 18 and obtain the paperwork at your local PD and they will explain the process. It will cost about 50 to 60 dollars total for the State Police SBI, forms, etc. You will need to be fingerprinted, and the form will require you list 2 non-relatives that will vouch you are mentally and safe to own a firearm. It will take anywhere from 30 days to 2 months depending on your municipality.

you need you FID card if your over 18, which i dont think you are, so in that case you would need someone who has one to buy it for you. You do not need a hunting license to buy a gun just a driver's license fo ID to show you are the proper card holder of the FID card. Now deciding which gun to buy would depend on what you will be using it for most.

wouldn't drive to PA and take a chance. Legally they have to check your ID and if you are from jersey then you still need a NJ FID card. I have heard stories about other states wjere you just hand them the money and they hand you the gun but being 15, i dont think that will happen in your case. Do you know anyone with a FID card who would be willing to help you out?

REgardless where you get it, you cant purchase it. You would need an adult to nuy it for you!! Yes if you purchase it in PA you can hunt with it in NJ

yes i know someone.But this is what im wondering.
Lets say i go to pa.My dad buys me the gun in pa, even though im not a pa resident.Now i bring the gun to jersey.Can I hunt with it?Or do i still need the fid?
