I agree with Robin, he is a 3 1/2 yr old. You also have to remember that most of the nutrition that bucks take in goes to their body not their antlers for those first 4 yrs of life. If you give him his walking papers and start a mineral lick in early spring and keep it going through the yr you will be surprised what he has the potential to turn into. A lot of biologists now think that bucks don't see there biggest racks til they are 5 yrs old. By letting the young ones walk it means more mature bucks later on, not and easy practice but definitely worth it.
