why is that everytime a bowhunter says something bad about gun hunters he gets bashed but when other gun hunters say something everyone agrees with them. Why is it that gun season has been going for two days and every post has something bad to say about tresspassing or stupid sh-t. bow season has been going for 3 months now and there where a few problems but wow no wonder gun hunters have such a bad rep. All I can say is I am glad I have 3 months to myself and dont have do deal with all this crap. If guys where that worried about killing deer you would think they would spend more then 6 days a yr hunting.

I also agree with you njbowhunter27. On Monday I was in stand as people at the neighboring property were doing a drive, and one of the guys was yelling come meet your makers to the deer and every time someone would shoot he would start laughing. Like what is that, and the only time these people are hunt is 6 day. The reason hunters have a bad name is because of people like this.

I am not saying all gun hunters are bad and all bow are good. It just seems like a lot more idiots are out during 6 day. Thats a fact. I know there are a lot of guys that hunt both and put there time in but there are also a lot that dont step into the woods untill opening day. For anyone who disagrees with me just read the post its all there in writing. I hunted shotgun for yrs growing up I just cant deal with it anymore I still hunt muzzy so I do gun hunt. If you go back and read the title all I am saying is gun hunters have a bad name because of the idiots that come out during 6 day. Let me make that clear for some of you not all gun hunters are idiots dont want people to think that I am saying everyone should hunt like me thats the only way.

The us against them attitude and since there are more gunners than bowhunters that is how it is.
IMO while it takes more effort etc. to bowhunt there will be more folks % who are dedicated to a sport and willing to set their standards a bit higher but that does not make the bowseason compleatly jerk proff just a slightly less % wise and less because there are fewer bowhunters overall.
Someone once pointed out to me most folks remember the jerk that messed things up not the 1000's of folks who did not get in the way ,steal,kick sand on your food,etc. it's the same with hunting.
Gun season has twice the participants and the 2 buck anything goes season is only 6 days long so there will be more jerks out there and more other people being effected by them.
OBTW I went out for 6 day for the first time in a few years I was prepared for the worst and hopeing for the best.
The day was beautyful all of my stands were still there at both my AM and PM spots I didn't have to deal with tresspassers, no calls to the CO's I was at peace with my self and (Most) of the world and near the end of the day I shot a buck it was a good day for me and I even had help from a new friend for the last part of the drag!
I am willing to bet there are more guys who COULD share a joy than there are those who NEED to vent because some how their parade got rained on or somebody crapped in their oatmeal.

Don't know about you but I hate when that happens!
When you have 3 times the amount of people in the woods of course the complaints are going to increase. I don't know the exact #'s but during this week there is a significant increase in the amount of people in the woods.....Just the law of averages!

No Respect is exactly it. Give a guy the license to kill and for six days, without putting in the time or knowing the land, anything goes for them. It doesn't matter to them if they trash the land, trash your stand, disrespect the quarry or the next hunter. Forget rules and regulations, there getting in and out and there done for the next 359 days. Thankfully, the biggest snapper heads guilty of this aren't laying out the cash for permit season. The best solution to all this, my 2 favorite words - Sunday Bow.
