What an absolutely beautiful morning to be in the deer woods. Last morning I could hunt before extended and I was able to score on a really nice 8 pt. 32 yard shot and the deer gods were watching out for me as I hit a small twig and deflected my arrow. I only had one small window before he was out of my lane. Fortunately I was able to hit the neck and he was down in 15 yards! I love this time of year! He came in with his nose to the ground scent checking. His tarsals were black and stunk of rut! Bring on permit bow!

Congrats (again) - yep the split brow gene is alive and well in the woods we share. Would have helped you drag it except I gotta do this "work" thing now, after 3 months off... (if only it could have been delayed a few more weeks!)
Just curious, Newtonlt, as to the general location of your hunt. As I hunt in Freedon just outside of Newton. I've got a buck on the cam that was on the "possibles" list. It looks alot like the buck you just posted. Either its the same deer or he's a very close relation with a split brow in the same spot. What do you think:
